Dream It, Be It, Program Update
Soroptimist International of Elk Grove concluded its second Dream It, Be It
program at Sheldon High School on February 10. The program provided
participants with career support and guidance. Through education and
access to role models, the program aims to empower girls to pursue career
goals and reach their full potential. In seven sessions during four full-day
Saturday workshops, the participants learned about career opportunities,
setting and achieving goals, overcoming obstacles to success, and moving
forward after setbacks. The participants had the opportunity to work closely
with Soroptimist members who are professional and respected women in
the community who work together on projects that benefit women and girls.
Soroptimists collaborated with other community members to lead girls
through activities that helped them develop skills relevant to whatever
career they choose to pursue.

Holly Lakatos, Law Librarian and Archivist for the State of California Court

Harris, Director of Nursing- Public Health Davison Manager for the
Department of Health and Human Services, Claudia Niedzielski, Realtor,
Michelle Orrock, lobbyist, Lisa Wood Harada, speech pathologist. The
seven sessions were facilitated by Soroptimist members Tracey Edwards,
Sherry McLellan, Peggy Ursin, Mary Ann Chappelle, Diane Hollingshead,
